Terms of Service
humanize is in pre-launch. Right now the only thing on offer is a waitlist. These terms are deliberately short and will change as the platform is built — we'll tell you before anything meaningful shifts.
What this is
humanize intends to be a marketplace for music made by people and sold direct by the artists who made it. Nothing is for sale yet, and no account you may hold gives you rights to buy, sell, or distribute music at this stage.
How transactions will work
humanize is a download-only marketplace — not a streaming service. When a fan buys a track, they are purchasing a digital download of that music, not a licence to stream it or access it through a subscription.
Artists set their own prices. humanize does not impose standard pricing or tiers.
Buy straight from the creatives who made it. humanize provides the space and tools that make the sale possible, but the sale itself is between the fan and the artist.
humanize retains a transparent 12% fee — it covers keeping the lights on and payment processing fees such as Stripe's. This fee is taken off the top of the sale price before the remaining amount is passed to the artist.
Joining the waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free and creates no obligation on either side. It is not an application, not an offer, and not a guarantee of access. Artist accounts are created only by invitation from the humanize desk, at our discretion.
Fair use
Give us information that is yours and accurate. Don't submit other people's details, spam the form, or attempt to break, probe, or scrape the site. We may remove any entry or account that does.
No warranties
The site is provided as-is while we build it. Features may appear, change, or vanish without notice, and we aren't liable for losses arising from pre-launch use.
Changes and contact
When humanize opens for real, a fuller agreement covering sales, payouts, and licences will replace this page. Questions in the meantime: hello@humanize.fm.
